Precision is a lot more than just an overclocking tool. It is a monitoring tool, as well as allows for custom profiles to be set to do things like not only OC your car but the fan as well.
It also allows you to show the stats on your screen, in your system tray, and (if you have it) The LCD screen on your Logitech Gaming KBs.
The best part for me is that I keep the GPU settings constant - clocked to GTX260 SSC speeds. However, I have profiles changing the fan speed depending upon what I am doing - so if I am at my desktop of watching a movie, it can stay relatively low, and my graphics cards are fine. If however, I am gaming, I can easily bump the fan speed up to accommodate for the increased heat out put of the GPUs, keeping them cooler (and thus, increasing their longevity) as I continuously game.
a month ago I was heavily gaming, splitting my time between GRID and The Last Remnant and Prototype - There were days when I spent several (meaning more than 10) hours gaming, b/c I simply had nothing else to do. On those days, my fans were churning between 80 and 85% - and my cards stayed well below 70 deg C, even when using max settings in all three games (and prototype is pretty heavy on resource usage)....
