#601
Hmmmmm, I have NVidia GeForce 6150SE NForce 430 and installing the new November driver caused it to revert to 800x600 resolution on bootup. Then as soon as I right click the desktop to change the resolution, it changes to the resolution I selected previously.
I'm on build 7077 but still.. looks like they ain't got the bugs out. The old driver works better and the WEI is exactly the same. It claims to enable 3D GPU acceleration but the results are exactly the same as the old driver plus the bug. If you are running Feb. 2009 Windows 7 driver I'd say stick with that at least with this particular video gear.
edit: the other proviso, make a manual restore point if you use restore points, before installing the driver. It doesn't do it for you. I had a recent restore point so backing it off was no big deal. Esp. if you multi-boot XP and XP can see your Windows 7 or Vista partition, it has a tendency to erase all your restore points when it makes one for itself. Good idea to make one directly after running XP(e.g. reboot into 7 instead of just shutting down.)
I didn't notice any other problems. Perhaps if you have a different adapter you won't get this behavior. Just be prepared to back it off would be my advice.
