The 257.21 x64 both beta and WHQL didn't give me the best performance and I noticed a loss of frames in a number of games so I reverted back to 197.45. These however seem to be good so far. Still have to test more but I get a few more frames in Just Cause 2 and a few older games I tested. Temp seems to be fair also and possibly a few degrees less than the 197.45.

I also switched from 197.45 to 257.21 on an 8800GT and the Sims 3 started acting buggy. I switched in game from 1920x1080 to 1680x1050 and it helped for a time before going buggy again. I'm going to try the new beta 258.69, but I may have to go back to 197. No problems with any DVD, Flash or Silverlight content yet... just the Sims 3.

are you looking in the Beta & Archived drivers section?

It comes up as GeForce/ION Release 256, but shows version 258.69 after that - its just part of the 256 family - release date should show June 29, 2010
