resolution changes while my computer loads?

So I am running 1920x1200 and I notice every time I restart my computer the welcome screen is in a bigger resolution as is my mouse pointer. When I did a fresh reformat and windows loaded my font settings were in Larger 150 (default)

I can only assume that is what its starting up in? Could anyone tell me how to force it to stay in Smaller at all times?

Is your graphics driver up to date, What graphics card do you have?
Any other system info you could give would be a big help, This little program here will help if you're not sure what you have,

Change the DPI back to default. It should be somewhere in the Personalization menu when you right click the desktop. That is normal most likely for 150 DPI.
