    Aero-theme graphics corruption/distortion

So, I upgraded my well-served windows XP to windows 7 a few days ago. However I'm experiencing a very annoying problem with the new Aero-theme (which I really do like and would like to use) but unfortunately it's giving me a lot of eye-sores in the form of graphics corruption. This happens only when moving, maximizing/minimizing or opening windows (IE: firefox, messenger). The corruption appears usually on the "headlines" of windows or on the taskbar. It goes away instantly when I select anything on the screen or just click on the desktop. None of my friends have had this problem, and I've updated my gfx card with the latest available drivers. Don't think it could be a low supply of memory or a semi-low end processor? I'm above the minimum requirements at least and it should work fine. The normal windows style theme with the non-glass edges and taskbar works just fine.

Also a funny thing I realized while writing this: I recreated some of the crap by repeatedly mini/maxing a window and took a screenshot. When I pasted it in paint, the distortion was gone in the screenshot? Very weird, I could still see the blocks on my screen but the screenshot in paint is spotless. So I cannot give you an exact screenshot but this would be very close to what im experiencing.
