The GTS 250 will let you play most games at medium or high detail settings and medium resolution, for $120 or so. The 4890 will do a lot better, but it's a $200+ card. I'm not a cutting edge gamer, I think I'll wait a while and probably trade in my GTS 250 for a 4890 when the price comes down to $150 or so on the 4890. | My System Specs | | OS Win7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel Core i7/860 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Memory 4 GB PC 1333 Graphics Card Nvidia GTS 250 (1 GB mem) Sound Card Onboard Realtek ALC888B PSU 700W Hard Drives Western Digital 500 gig, 7200 rpm |

the 1st reply made me laugh, my 8800gt holds up in all new games I have tried it on, my thoughts are the latest cards are simply ahead of their time vs software.
which is better out of the 220 and 9800gt I dont know tho. --edit-- well after reading this entire thread its clear the 9800gt beats the 220. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number home built OS windows 7 ultimate x64 CPU intel i5 750 Motherboard asus p7p55d-e Memory 16 gig ram ddr3 @ 1333 9-9-9-24 CR2 Graphics Card evga 460 GTX 1 GIG SC Sound Card asus xonar D2X Monitor(s) Displays dell 2209WA Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard microsoft business ps2 keyboard Mouse microsoft optical black mouse PSU coolermaster silent pro 600watt modular Case antec P182 Cooling artic freezer 7 pro rev 2, 3 case fans Hard Drives WD black cavalier 640gig WD6401AALS - boot device - P55

When the 8800 series was relased, they we're cutting-edge. They we're the best, truly awesome. No ATI card could compare.
