The graphic controller that your have is not made for Windows 7 using aero in order to get better graphics you need to get a new laptop witch has been made for Windows 7.

Your Intel Graphics Controller doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Win7, so there are no Intel Win7 drivers for it.

Intel says the only workaround is to try and install the XPDM driver (this is the display driver XP uses). This will be a similar driver that came with your computer. If you right click on the Driver File - properties then select XP SP2 compatibility mode, then Apply - OK. Right click again and select Run as Administrator. This should install the drivers, but Aero functions shouldn't work. Sorry, but there is no guarantee that it will even work. Vista didn't even support the 82865G chipset.

I'm surprised you got Win 7 to work, except for the video. Dell only supports XP on this model, not Vista or Win 7 and there can be issues with the Dell proprietary hardware.

The GX270 models (which are desktops, not laptops) will support an AGP video card. But that is also limited by which version of the GX270 the user has. A couple of the models are "compact" models and require low profile cards. Being AGP is another issue for getting something that will support aero.
