I was having trouble getting an input to my Sony Bravia from my PC running an ATI Radeon Pro HD2600 using a 10 meter cable (PC and TV in different rooms). After various
driver re-installs I disconnected my PC from the room it is normally in and connected it to my TV using another 3 metere HDMI lead and the problem was solved. Thinking it was the 10m cable I bought another one (better quality) but when it arrived it does not work either. I then tried both 10m cables using a borrowed laptop tomy TV and both worked flawlessly. At first I thought it may be a loss of signal over the 10 meter cable but both 10m cables work fine in the laptop (I think it may be an NVidia card in the laptop but have not confirmed that yet). So unless the laptop card is ok with transmitting the signal 10m and the ATI radeon HD Pro cannot do this then I am at a loss as to what the isue could be. Obviously the ATI card is OK as it works perfectly well with a 3 metre cable.
Any thoughts
