    Bloated resolution

I got a new laptop with Windows 7 installed on it recently and it's running 1920x1080 resolution (which is what I want it to be at). But one major thing I've noticed is that everything is bloated compared to Windows XP. On another computer I run Windows XP in 1920x1080 and it feels like 1920x1080 but in Windows 7 everything is bloated and bigger and sometimes, when browsing the web, things get stretched which makes it feel like I'm running a lower resolution than 1920x1080. I attached some pictures for examples. Both Windows 7 and the Nvidia control panel say I'm in 1920x1080 but it definitely doesn't feel like it.

Looks normal to me. I think it is the aero that you are used to. The win7 page is a lot clearer and more readable. That's what I always hate in XP (on the rare occasion that I help someone on XP) - everything is so little and hard to read.
One thing you can check is your text display setting in Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display. Maybe it is set to 125% (which I always set it at).

thats pretty normal. i don't understand what you mean fully though. are you talking about how the interface elements are a bit chunkier than they were in xp or the text and pictures. either way the frames are heavier to make them easier to grab for use with the aero features. the text and other things tend to be clearer making them easier to read.
