NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT & Desktop Performance 4.8...?

I can't understand why I am only getting a 4.8 on the Desktop Performance For Windows with my NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT

I mean for a card I paid good money for I would think that the graphics would be better than they are. I have my settings running correctly but still it should be better.

I have done a driver update and its still the same, is there anything else I can do without having to purchase another card..?

Thanks for any replies you may have. :)

Hate to say it but that number sounds about right for what is essentially the lowest of the low end DirectX 10 cards from Nvidia. To give you an idea,

and no, no amount of driver updates or much of anything else will improve it.

Thanks for the info buddy, So this is the bottom of the range for this graphics card..? Reason I ask is because I was told by the guy in store that this was top of the range. Obviously another gullable customer...Lol. :)

Also what graphics card would you recommend for a web developer and graphic designer..? I need something that will give me enough performance and image quality to do my job correctly.

I can't believe how much this card has come down in price either. I paid £129.99 GBP just over a year ago and now it's like £35 GBP which is a HUGE difference.

That's pretty accurate, considering it's on the lower end spectrum of Graphics cards as mentioned beforehand,

If it's any solace, my 9600 GT only gets 6.8...Clocked. >.<

Odd, my 9400GT gets 5.1 Aero GFX and 5.9 for Gaming GFX.

I KNOW i need a new GFX card, will be next in line after a new case.
