Video Card Replacement I'm thinking about ordering this card: EVGA GeForce 9500 GT Video Card - 1GB DDR2, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Support, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV, VGA Support at TigerDirect.com
To replace the current video card, because the Vcore1 voltage is only 1.14v, instead of 1.39 as it should be, but I'm wondering how that card would stack up? I know that there are much better cards available, but I don't want to spend all that much. Nor am I interested in an ATI card.
One thing that caught my eye, is that it says that it is compatible with HDTV...what does this mean, that it has HDCP? The only thing that I can think of that would make me spend more is that I intend to buy an HDTV, and the one that I'm considering doesn't have a DVI connector, only HDMI and VGA. HDMI would be fine, except that on my Acer monitor, using a composite cable (DVI to HDMI) didn't work, so I'm unsure about the HDTV also. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DIY OS W7x64 Pro, SuSe 12.1/** W7 x64 Pro, XP MCE CPU Phenom II 1090T w/Noctua NH-D14 /**4400+ X2 w/CM Hyper TX 3 Motherboard ASRock 890FX Deluxe 4/**A8N-SLI Memory 2 x 2GB Patriot PGS34g1600LLKA/**4x1GB Corsair VS Graphics Card EVGA GTX460 SC/**EVGA 8800GTS Sound Card Asus Xonar D2X/**Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Acer X233H, Dell E152FPc /**LG M237-WD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 & 1024x768/**1980x1080 Keyboard Logitech Media USB/**Saitek Eclipse Mouse Cordless Trackman Wheel/**Ditto PSU CM RS600 w/ APC BX1000G/**Antec 500 TP w/ APC BX1000 Case HAF922/**Antec 1040IIB Cooling 3x200mm, 1x140 and 1x120mm/**5x80mm fans Hard Drives WDC 2TB, 1.5TB, 1TB, 500GB,Seagate 500GB , Maxtor 80GB /**500GB Seagate & WDC 1TB Black Internet Speed 3.3Mbps Other Info SB 560 5.1 w/ Sennheiser RS140/**Creative T20 speakers, Dvico FusionHDTV7 Gold RT, Cisco E3000, HP 5510V AIO, Linksys E3000, Belkin F5U237 hub and **F5D8055 adapter

If your not much into video editing or serious gaming your choice will be a fine one. I have a friend using the exact same one and he loves it. He does some picture editing and movie burning. He's using it on Windows 7 x64. And he loved the price on it as well!
P.S. He has used it on a couple of the newer games as well and says he doesn't notice anything wrong with it. It's holding fine! | My System Specs | | OS win7 ultimate x64 CPU Intel Core2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0 Motherboard NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI Memory 4gb corsair 6400 ddr2 Graphics Card Palit GTX260 Sonic 216 SP Sound Card sb audigy 24bit Monitor(s) Displays i-inc 19" lcd Screen Resolution 1440x900 PSU ULTRA LSP Pro 750 Case ultra midtower Cooling air Hard Drives seagate barracuda 7200 250 gb |

My interest in games has waned some, and I'm not into video editing...yet, so this may be right for me. If not, I guess I wouldn't have lost too much. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DIY OS W7x64 Pro, SuSe 12.1/** W7 x64 Pro, XP MCE CPU Phenom II 1090T w/Noctua NH-D14 /**4400+ X2 w/CM Hyper TX 3 Motherboard ASRock 890FX Deluxe 4/**A8N-SLI Memory 2 x 2GB Patriot PGS34g1600LLKA/**4x1GB Corsair VS Graphics Card EVGA GTX460 SC/**EVGA 8800GTS Sound Card Asus Xonar D2X/**Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Acer X233H, Dell E152FPc /**LG M237-WD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 & 1024x768/**1980x1080 Keyboard Logitech Media USB/**Saitek Eclipse Mouse Cordless Trackman Wheel/**Ditto PSU CM RS600 w/ APC BX1000G/**Antec 500 TP w/ APC BX1000 Case HAF922/**Antec 1040IIB Cooling 3x200mm, 1x140 and 1x120mm/**5x80mm fans Hard Drives WDC 2TB, 1.5TB, 1TB, 500GB,Seagate 500GB , Maxtor 80GB /**500GB Seagate & WDC 1TB Black Internet Speed 3.3Mbps Other Info SB 560 5.1 w/ Sennheiser RS140/**Creative T20 speakers, Dvico FusionHDTV7 Gold RT, Cisco E3000, HP 5510V AIO, Linksys E3000, Belkin F5U237 hub and **F5D8055 adapter
