Problem with Aero/resolution (ATI Radeon 3600)

I have googled for hours and not found an answer to this problem so I'm trying my luck here instead...

I recently installed W7 32bt, but the aero effects don't work and the resolution... well, sucks. I have an ATI Radeon 3600-something graphics card. But under Device Manager it says I only have a "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". Why doesn't it find my card?

I tried installing the new driver updates for W7 on AMD but nothing happened. Is my card too old for W7? Or is there anything I can do?

    Thanks in advance! :)

Welcome to Seven Forums: We could really use your full system specs. You can find them bu either typing dxdiag in the search box or sys info. Their are also some free programs that Will get you this information, here are a couple http://majorgeeks.com/downloads9.html Thanks. Fabe

Oh, now I actually solved the problem myself! Haha

Well, if anyone else wants to know, I downloaded something called hotfix for my graphics card from the sapphiretech website. Now aero works fine and resolution too :)

    Thanks anyway!
