    GeForce GTX 285 Power Supply


    I'm upgrading my stock video card that came with my comp to the GeForce GTX 285 Video Card, I was wondering if I should power it with its own individual power supply? Maybe a 400-450 dedicated watt?

    As you don't have your current power supply rating listed, I would suggest about a 450W/500W supply, min.

    You do not need to supply it with it's very own PSU. That's beyond overkill. Just get a decent one that will support it as well as the rest of your system. With the 285 I would recommend 500W or higher. The 450 might be pushing it a little.
