Wow, I had to do some quick checking to see what version I'm running. It's 196.21, so thats a relief. I'm currently on my third 220 GT. The first one was dead right out of the box. The replacement for that one started showing artifacts during game play and I could hear the fan buzzing. After reading this thread I figured I better make sure I'm not running the latest but not so greatest drivers. Having a third card fail would be a major bummer. I never run the drivers on the CD and always download the latest from the manufacturers web site. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate AMD64 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition Deneb 3.7GHz Motherboard Asus M4N68T-M V2 µATX Motherboard Memory 8GB 4GBx2 Kingston PC10600 DDR3 1333 Memory Graphics Card BFG NVIDIA Geforce 220GT 1 Gig DDR2 PCIe Sound Card VIA VT1708s High Definition Audio 8-channel Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 2 x 19" I-INC AG191D TFT Flat Panel Screen Resolution 1280x1024 x 2 Keyboard Logitech Internet 600 Mouse Logitech Wireless Trackman Wheel PSU Retail Plus 465 Watt Case Power Up Black ATX Mid-Tower Case Cooling Stock heatsink and fan Hard Drives 500 Gig WesternDigital SATA-300 Drive Internet Speed 80 Mbps Down 30 Mbps Up Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials Browser Internet Explorer 10 Other Info HP DVD1040e Lightscribe - External USB2 |

Yes Nvidia removed the 196.75 and use the 196.21 - I didnt update (nearly press "download") but i stayed with 196.21 it would caused serious problems with hardwares included damaged graphic card if running 196.75 but it no longer to use and may replace with new one so it take time for Nvidia to check the problems on software programming. | My System Specs | | |

I've noticed a 10+ degree rise on my gtx 295 for some time now. Not just that driver, ive gone from under load temperatures of 75 ish degrees to 85+, and some BSOD's because of it. Id say it was since xmas almost.
I thought it was just dust/ pc needed cleaning. | My System Specs | | OS Windows Vista SP3 + Windows 7 |

I thought it was just dust/ pc needed cleaning. 196.75 were only released 2010.03.02 - so if you've noticed a temp rise since xmas it could be dust build up / ambient temperature induced (if it's summer where you are) | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number SmartEyeball Custom Systems OS 8 Pro x64 CPU i7 3770K 4.6GHz Motherboard ASUS P8Z77 WS (great board good slot placement) Memory 16GB G.Skill Trident X 2400mhz Graphics Card 2x Gigabyte GTX 670 OC WindForce SLI Sound Card X-FI Forte 7.1 + ATH-AD900 Headphones Monitor(s) Displays x3 Dell U2410 / 58" Samsung / "40 Sony Screen Resolution 1920*1200 / 1920*1080 Keyboard Topre Realforce // Ducky Shine MX Black // Filco Ninja TKL Mouse Razer Imperator + Thermaltake Theron PSU Corsair AX1200W Case Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition Cooling Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drives 2x Intel 520 240GB (RAID 0) * 2x WD Caviar Blacks 2TB (RAID 0) * 2TB WD Caviar Black Antivirus MSE Browser Opera, Chrome, FF Other Info GT Extreme V2 Sim Racing Cockpit + 40" LCD and K/B Mouse stand ▼

I don't update video card drivers each time they appear (any more). I'm on the 196.21 drivers at the moment and don't see any big improvements with each and every new driver set that comes along. I usually go with every 3rd or 4th set. Unless of course, I'm doing a fresh install or a certain program would not work and the new drivers solve the issue. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built OS 7-Pro-64 CPU Intel Dual Core E5400 2.7 Motherboard Asus P5Q Pro Turbo Memory 2gig DDR2 800 Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 4770 512MB Sound Card Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 19" Wide screen Screen Resolution 1440x900 PSU Corsair HX520W Hard Drives Seagate 320 Sata2 (2)
