ATI or Nvidia? Do you prefer ATI or Nvidia? Warning
Remember to keep the conversation friendly. To each their own for what they prefer.
Thank you,

Personally, I prefer nVidia. Though I hear they have bad support for older games. I remember trying to play an old RPG game on my old XP box with my 9400 GT and the shading was all messed up. A friend of mine has a 9600 GT but can't play his favorite game because apparently all newer nVidia cards won't work with it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Systemax Ascent K24 OS Windows 7 Professional CPU Athlon II X2 240 Motherboard MSI mATX Memory 2GB Graphics Card GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 (will be upgraded soon) Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell E207WFP Keyboard Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard PSU 250w (will be upgraded soon, along with GFX card.) I personally never had any issues running any games when I had my 9600gt so a lot will depend on the rest of your config.
There will be no right and wrong answer here but the general consensus is if you have an intel chip then go with nvidia gpu and like wise, if you have amd chip go with ati.
Both card manufacturers do any equally good job, you just got to chose what you think will be right for you.
I chose what ever is in my case at the time. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build. OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I recently switched to the ati 5850 after being a long time nvidia user since TNT2 days. Mainly because the 5800 series was affordable and powerful and the fermi cards are taking their time. Affordable nvidia fermi cards wont be with us until the end of the year. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS Windows 7 Professional 64-bit CPU Intel E8400 3GHz Motherboard Intel DX48BT2 Memory Kingston PC3-10700H 4Gb Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 5850 BlackEd. switched ATI with an HD3850AGP to replace my 7600GT, never looked back since - ATI's drivers are much improved
currently running twin 4890's in Crossfire - it's a flier, especially with the new Crossfire add-in from ATI
- guess it's horses for courses, but the ATI drivers make their cards a real alternative choice - they're much better than they used to be.. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number benchtec, built to personal specs OS 64-Bit Windows7 Ult-SP1 CPU i7-965 Extreme Edition (8 Cores) at 3.3GHz (no OC) Motherboard BloodRage QuantumForce X58 (Socket1366) Memory 6G Corsair Dominator DDR3 - tripled Graphics Card 2xMSI AMD6870's in crossfire Sound Card Sonar(SB)X-Fi onboard Monitor(s) Displays SyncMaster P2050 20" Screen Resolution 1600x900 (widescreen) Keyboard Logitech G19 (wired) Mouse Logitech G9 Laser (wired) PSU 1000w Corsair Case ANTEC 900/2 all blue lights, etc.. ATI cards are more powerful that Nvidia ones and the new series 5000 support DX11
