    Dual Desktop Glitch

Okay, I'm not sure whats causing this fault so I thought I'd put it in general. If some nice admin can move it to the correct thread I'd be grateful.

    Right here goes.

I have dual desktop monitors, swapped from Nvidia 9600 gs to ati hd5750 graphics card. All seemed fine. Sorted the screens out, location of stuff on desktop am currently using.

Setup the dual wallpapers, works fine except on the 2nd(right) screen the top inch and a half of the image has been sliced off and stuck back on at the bottom. Have tried the usual, update drivers, try all settings. Just looking for fresh ideas preferably solutions

Image of screens below. Print screen has lined up the image and left a black border at the top, where as on my monitor the top bit of her head is at the bottom under the arms. Its the same with all wallpapers.

Have you got both monitors set to the same resolution? Did you have this problem with your NVidia card? Did you uninstall all remnants of the NVidia driver before swapping cards?

Both monitors are at same resolution. Didn't have this problem with the nvidia card. Did uninstall all nvidia stuff, was working ok one minute, then went like this.

I've tried changing all the settings i can find, it doesnt seem to be affecting anything else, its just annoying as its only happening when tile is selected for the image to span the monitors..

If you haven't yet, right click on the desktop and select "Screen resolution". Make sure that both the monitors shown are lined up correctly, from the looks of that screen shot it looks likeone is set just a little lower than the other instead of being even.

How daft do I feel? Didn't realise it did that till you mentioned it.

    Thanks. Sorted

Don't feel too bad, probably find that most running dual (or more) monitors don't realize it does that. It can also be used for changing the location of the monitors; left/right, top/bottom, etc.

That would make sense. Never thought of it.
