Display Color Calibration ALWAYS resets?! Please Help!

    Hi,

I recently got windows 7 for my desktop, and I have this 22'' monitor which looks really nice when properly calibrated (gamma, reds, etc). My problem is that every time I do a calibration, and let the computer either go to sleep, lock, turn off, the calibration resets to this ugly looking thing. What's worse, every time the monitor is turn on and off the same problem. IF the UAC prompts me to allow or something same problem.

How do I prevent my computer from switching my calibration to something else?

I have on-board integrated graphics, so I don't have a NVIDIA/ATI control center thing. For my calibration I use the windows 7 calibrator ("Calibrate Display Color").

This is really a problem for me, and I will appreciate any assistance! Thanks!!

Sounds like a bad video driver.

See if you can find the video driver for your motherboard and update it.

Maybe check the box use my parameters in Control Panel=>Display=>Change Display Parameters=>Screen resolution=>Advanced Parameters=>=>Colors...

After your have calibrated your screen check the box " use my parameters for this device" , so it will retain your choice.

Hey, thanks for the response, but I don't see a "Change Display Parameters" under the Display of Control Panel? I have 32-bit Ultimate Windows 7, if that makes a difference? Can you perhaps tell me in greater detail where I can find this setting? A screen shot could also be useful. Thanks a lot for you help!!

You can solve this by adding an automatic event to re-calibrate at specific events, for example unlock etc.

    2. Automate windows event task to re-calibrate at desired events: Reducing the Need for Manual Reload of Color Calibration when Docking in Windows 7 | Brian Reiter's Thoughtful Code
