    New graphics card giving low WEI score?

    I just upgraded from a 8800GT to a Radeon 5870, and after I ran the WEI.. well, I'll show you.

    My 8800GT gave me a 6.8 on the Gaming graphics scale.

    Is something wrong with my card?

    Have you tried re-running it?

    Do you have the right driver installed?

    Im positive I have the right driver installed. And I just re-ran the test, and it bumped up to 6.0 but my old card still gave me a 6.9.

    Another thing I want to point out.. Thats troubling.. Is that at idle, it sits at 50ishC. Is that normal?

    Uninstall the driver, run Driver Sweeper and try again.

    Catalyst/ATI entry. Uninstall it first though.

    I don't read too much into the wei as it is not very accurate at all.

    One example of why;

    Some guy on here the other day had 7.2 for a 9600gt, another had 6.5 another had 6.6 and another had 6.9. I take into account overclock but there is no way a 9600gt chip would score 7.2.

    I have a 9800GTX+ oc and that scores 7.0.

    OP,
    Take it with a pinch of salt.

    As long as you see an increase in frame rate from the new card when gaming and there are no graphical issues then I wouldn't worry about it.

    Navigate to and manually delete the contents of:

    C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore

    Re-run the WEI
