"Adaptive power keep the card cooler.
But most of the time of your usage I would suggest putting to maximum performance. This function introduced by nvidia does not save energy that much. You may end up saing like 12$ a year of electricity if you use your card 12 hours a day, depending of course, how costly is the electricity where you lives. (Right here it's the lowest cost in North America so for me does not make a big difference)
Put adaptive power when you go away and leave the CPU open, but restore maximum performance as soon as you use it..."
I kind of discovered this my self yesterday, just use it when i play games and then put it back to normal afterwards etc.
Thank you for the answer.
