No DVI signal detected after Win 7 updates processed

Wonder if anyone can help with two (hopefully, unrelated) problems. I clean-installed Win 7 64 bit on a brand new build.

Problem 1: BIOS sees both SATA II HDDs (set as IDEs) but Win 7 only sees one.

Problem 2: Win 7 ran updates following fresh Win 7 install. After sytem reboot, my ViewSonic LCD monitor is showing 'no signal' (DVI to DVI connection). Tried my card on another PC - it definitely works. Plugged it back into my build - card worked fine. Until another Win 7 update / system reboot - and back to the original 'no signal'!

    System:
    XFX GeForce GT240
    Asus 775 P5Q Pro Turbo
    WD 640GB CAVIAR BLACK 7200RPM 32MB SATA-II x 2
    Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 S775 2.8GHz

    Many thanks in advance!

Brand new build - you prob need to 'format' your other Sata drive!

Why are you not running Ahci esp if you want to hot swap/run raid etc in near future!

    Driver install sequence to try
    > OS
1.) Install Chipset drivers from Intel web site, then reboot
2.) Install IMSM drivers from Intel Website, reboot
3.) Install Graphic Card drivers, reboot (turn off antivirus/security etc first)
4.) Install LAN drivers from ASUS web site
    5.) Install Audio Drivers
