I guess I should mention that the 480 was the only card that could run Metro 2033 at full graphics acceleration.
A 4650 and a 3850 both gave me nothing but head aches. Ill give that I got the 3850 used so it could have had somthing to do with it. But I got it from a very good friend whos comp was running fine with it before I took it from him. but the 4550 was brand new at the time, It died on me 2 months later. I swaped it out for a pair of 7600gt's that I got for £25 each from a computer fair and they ran like a dream.
Here's some more information on the suggested PSU if you're going to be getting a 480.

My psu should be able to run it ok. If it doesnt ill kick the f**ker down the garden after what I paid for it lol
Inno3D have created a custom GTX470:

Main differences are the PCB, which with no details, might be a bit thicker than the stock one, some power regulation circuitry changes and the cooler has had a revamp. As you can see it's got the heatpipes like the 480 has, and the actual heatsink is lightweight aluminium with fins, instead of just a solid slab of metal, so this card so be a bit cooler than a stock 470.
If Nvidia are letting partners modify and design their own actual cards, then hopefully a few other companies will try do the same.
