    Playing Games on multiple monitors

    Hello i've just installed 2 22inch monitors on my pc (2x 1680x1050)

Now when i play a game such as Guildwars i can only get it up to be 1680x1050.

Is there anyway to trick Windows to think that it has 1 monitor of 3360x1050 instead of 2 monitors of 1680x1050 so i can strech Guild Wars to 2 monitors

(i tried dragging in windowed mode but it only allowed me to have a resolution of 1680x1050)

I know there is ATI Eyefinity technoligity but my ATI HD 4890 does not support this so i am looking for a other sollution that works with Windows 7

Thank you for your time and efford.

Even if it was possible, your character would be exactly in the middle of the screen, which means you won't be able to see it..

Either use 1 monitor or 3.. 2 would ruin your gaming experience.

Due to changes In Windows 7 specs, span mode is removed.
Currently this is the only available option at this time, other than Eyefinity.

It's technically possible to use two monitors by editing the config file, but the results and limitations wouldn't be worth it.

Alright i tried that matrox thing but it didn't gave me the option to change the resolution ingame to 3360x1050 so i think i did something wrong but the program told me that guild wars had native support or something

i tried that softTH think set all the settings on the file
when i tried to run guild wars both of my screens where switching black to normal several times and then guildwars gave me the message that DX8 wasnt propperly installed.

hi i use this program with my 2 monitors, DisplayFusion: Multi-Monitor Taskbar and Desktop Wallpaper.

DisplayFusion: Multi-Monitor Taskbar and Desktop Wallpaper|Binary Fortress Software

it may not sort your games out but its an excellent well built program full of features for duel monitor (and more ) you can use it on trial for a month but trust me its worth the money!!

Matrox isn't just software based, it's an actual device you plug your monitors into.

I haven't tried it, so I don't know of a work around - but it was worth a shot.

It's a good app (so is Ultramon) , but it won't help with games at all unfortunately.

Won't help for good reason. For starters most (if not all) games don't support it, and without support even if you managed to force it to run that way it would be stretched. Second for the reasons already stated previously, doesn't make much sense to support that kind of thing when the result would be splitting the character or cross hair being right in the middle.
