    S-Video Problem

    Hi everyone.

So I searched the forums looking for someone with the same problem - I find a lot of people with similar problems but nothing like this.

Check out my system specs in my sig first of all - the problem is with my main rig so everything should be in there. I am on Windows 7 Ultimate 4 bit.

I have all the latest drivers for everything.

Here is the problem - I am trying to boot up my rig via S-Video to Component onto my big TV. Here is the deal. It will show me the Bios when I switch on the computer with no problem. I can also boot into windows in Safe mode without another monitor on S-Video, again, no problem.

But when I try to boot up windows normally it will show me the bios, and then flicker a little, then show me the OLD VISTA STYLE loading bar (see image below) and then the big old NOTHING.

This doesn't happen when I have another monitor hooked up, only when it is SVideo by itself. I have also enabled secondary output to TV and that hasn't helped.

    Any ideas would be great.

Hi, first off please make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.

Try booting the PC without a monitor and then plugging it in once it has booted.

I've had a similar situation to this before and never did fully resolve it.

In Windows, with both monitors plugged in turn on mirroring and then try booting with only the TV.

    Oli
