Learn something new every day

I've been a laptop user for some years now (at least untill i get myself a kick a$$ gaming rig ). But, i have not found any use (until now) for the 'Extended Desktop' utilised in most laptops these days.

Until now....

My laptop has an Intel 943GML mobile graphics display. I have it set up to output to my 43" plasma TV so I can watch my downloaded Movies & TV files.

It wasn't until the other day that i thought i'd experiment with the extended desktop feature & was pleasently supprised

I now have either Media Centre or PowerDVD open in full screen on my TV while using all other features on my laptop, totally wicked

Glad you've found multiple desktops useful. I wouldnt go back to a single monitor now, its a lot more convenient.

Haven't had the joy of dual monitors yet although I do have two 22" screens, unfortunately my partner uses the other on my other computer.

Question, is there some way of putting a splitter on it so I can switch it over when she is not using it?

1 question is, is there a way to lock the screens (e.g. stop the mouse pointer at the edge of the first screen) as when i'm scrolling down i keep accidentally moving to the other screen & disturbing the movie (bringing the controls up) LOL

This year, I will be on dual monitors with hopes it will help developing software a bit easier.

if the other monitor has two inputs or more just use a different cable for the monitor and when shes not using it switch the input on the monitor and detect the monitor on your windows pc

I really wanted to go through DVI and there is only 1 and the other is VGA but I might have a play and see how it looks, thanks TripOG.
