Workstation graphics card for CATIA?

I'm working on a build for a customer with a machine shop that makes aircraft parts. All the designs use CATIA and they have been using an older ATI 5500 series gaming card which seems to work. Is it worth the extra $ for workstation graphics?
I've read benchmarks until I don't care anymore. Depends on who did the test as to the results of ATI or Nvidia superiority.
Does anyone have real world experience with the program that will offer an opinion?

Both manufactures say the advantage is in the drivers. Oddly enough workstation cards stats fall well short of even mid level gaming cards. Or is it a performance thing?

hm.. i'm guessing a performance thing, and like i said unless they are running multiple monitors for several different people you should be fine with just a gaming card
