Windows 7: Albatron GF9600GT - how do I know if it's compatible?

I'm looking at getting a new system, and I was going to try the Albatron GF9600GT (geforce 9500) video card... but it only says it's compatible with Vista and I can't find any information about it being used with Windows 7.

I'm really a bit of a noob... please will someone give me advice or help me find out?

Antec EA-380D Green EarthWatts ATX Power Supply
Corsair 4GB, 1600MHz DDR3
Western Digital 500GB Caviar Black SATA (32MB)

If it works with Vista, it will work with 7. Especially since Vista drivers work on 7. I use a 9400GT and it works fun, so I don't see why a 9600GT wouldn't work.

As far as I know, the architecture is perfectly compatible. I'm using 9600GT myself, only its from eVGA.

Just go to nVidia's driver download page and download the latest version of the drivers for your version of Windows 7 (32- or 64-bit) and you should be good to go.

As to that card, it's really up to the drivers and since Nvidia supports all OS's, as been already stated, yes you can use it under Windows 7.

A bit off topic, but If I may make a small suggestion? With that system you're putting together I'd at least look at a 500/550 watt PS. It's not going to cost you much more, and you can stick with the same company. In the end your system will thank you. My opinion.

sygnus21, thankyou for your advice about the psu. If I go for 500 watts, there's a choice between the 'regular' type, and the EarthWatts. I'm just a student so $30-40 difference means a fair bit to me... I wonder if it's worth getting earthwatts at all?

if you are a "green" type of person into saving the planet ,then go for the Earthwatts genre, otherwise send them electrons flying into the universe with a standard type psu

And I know how it is to be on a tight budget, but sometimes you have to sacrifice if for no other reason than peace of mind.
