All in wonder 2006 edition Problems

I have a Ati All in wonder 2006 video card and I can't seen to get the av stream to work.
Windows recognized the card as a X1300 and installed working drives but it doesn't recognize the tv tuner. I have seen people with this card configured correctly and working with 7. I have tried installing the legacy drivers from ati but they also installed drivers for an X1300. I'm out of options anyone have any ideas?

You'll probably find luck by installing using the device manager. First, locate the latest driver you can, for Vista, if no 7 is available. I have the original TV Wonder PCI working well, even in MC, under x86 Win 7.

It will probably be under Sound, Video and Games Controllers section of the device manager. Look top left then. When updating the driver, look in the WDM folder of what you've downloaded, after extraction.

Use Windows Key + Pause to get to the screen that opens device manager.

Any further questions/advice, we got ya.

    Good luck!

Maybe i didn't explain well enough. I did try to install the WMD drivers both with the ATI installer and manually with the device manager but the device manager can't find a AV caputure device. I think it may be because the driver that is installed in the wrong one but I can't seen to install the right driver. The screen shots show what I have and what I want it to look like. The one with the X1300 is mine and I can't seen to find or configure my computer to get it to accept the all in wonder drivers.

Right click the unknown device. Then choose update driver software. Browse my computer. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Then go into the WDM folder inside the ATI extracted driver...default is C:\ATI...and find the .inf.

It could be that ATI's product page only says the card supports XP, and not a 64 bit edition:

    All-In-Wonder® 2006 Edition - Specifications

ATI's support for the All In Wonder series has been spotty, but is apparently improving. The quote below, from the ATI release notes for Catalyst 10.3 for Win 7 looks like it supports more versions than it used to, but even ATI has acknowledged it's an ongoing problem.

Note: The ATI Catalyst™ driver includes TV/Capture driver support
for many ATI Theater 600 and ATI Theater 650 products under
Windows 7 (in addition to ATI Theater HD 750). Windows 7
TV/Capture functionality is currently NOT supported by ATI
Catalyst™ for the following products only: ATI All-in-Wonder HD,
ATI TV Wonder 650 Combo USB, and ATI TV Wonder 600 USB.

I hope it will work out for you, but you might want to think about buying a separate tuner card. A more recent one that will work with Win 7 MCE.
