Yet another screen resolution problem

Hi.

This is my problem.
Mi Windows 7 (Home Basic) only allows me to set the "recommended" resolution, which is 1366 x 768 (15.4'' - laptop)

Because of this, whenever I try to run any software which tries to change the resolution (a.k.a. games) the software crashes.

My graphics card is the sis graphics Mirage 3 integrated (yes, I know) and I have already installed the latest drivers the sis webpage offers.

The display is listed as generic PnP.
