In need of a new graphics card

I recently received a new Dell computer that came with a 1920x1080 monitor, 6GB of RAM and 640GB of hard drive space, but the graphics card doesn't allow me to play all of my games as smoothly as I expected, so...I was wondering what graphics card provides the best performance for under 140$ or so. Thanks in advance.

I intend to get this card soon enough. Aside from the pink box it comes in, looks good.

I'm Team Nvidia but with that price range i'll recommend ATI. Save up a couple more dollars and get the HD 5770, 5750 or 4870.

We need your full specs though to help you out.
