Intel 945GC Graphics Card Help

Your processor is burning up. That would explain why your computer shuts down randomly. It's over 127 degrees C.

Did you by any chance upgrade your processor?

Or did you take out the fan and the heatsink? How hot does the room get?

I haven't upgraded my processor. It's factory-built, uncustomized, and I didn't take out the fan or the heatsink. Could it be a connection problem? The room stays pretty much at a constant temp -- it ranges between 70 and 76 degrees Fahrenheit.

It means your fan isn't getting power. Since you don't see too be as tech savvy as us, I would say you need a new computer, or you need to take yours to a repair shop. Tell them that your processor is overheating and that the cooling fan isn't spinning either.

I cleaned out everything and looked inside my computer and found that I only have one fan, so that's why the first doesn't run. Lol. It's still going at 127 though. =/

I posted this elsewhere and they said I should reboot and check my memory. o.o; I'm probably going to try that.

One fan? Just the one on the CPU, with nothing on the case? Hmm, that's pretty rare on a shop bought PC.

If you wanted to double check the 12v reading speedfan is giving, you could look at the BIOS's hardware monitor screen. Press f2, f10 or Delete during the first boot screen to get to the BIOS.

And yes it could be faulty memory, or badly seated memory. But it could also be a duff graphics card or a loose internal power cable. There are lot's of possible causes, but so far the evidence points to an overheating problem and a faulty PSU, imo.

(but if you want to be sure, use memtest to check the memory)

By the way, I am retarded. Yes, there is a fan on the case. Completely skipped over it. Lol.

Here is all the information I THINK is valuable.

+12V=12.16V
Current CPU Temp=33C
Current System Temp=36C

As it turns out, I guess there is a second fan. I don't see it, but it says something about the Current CPU Fan Speed and the Current System Fan Speed as well. o.o;

Just another side note:

I am on an XP partition on my hard drive right now -- until I can get this fixed -- and I ran SpeedFan and it's the same... But, it doesn't crash on XP. o.o; Just letting you guys know.
