If you can find Windows Vista drivers, try to use them in compatibility mode...
Right Click Installer > Properties > Compatibility Tab > Check Box, Select Windows Vista from Drop-Down
Hi, I had the same issue and was about to trow the card away.
The solution is simple.
Cheers
- Download the latests drivers from Leadtek site (WinXP/2000) here, if the link doesn't work got to the site www.leadtek.com and do a drivers search for A280 and should get the link.
- What you got in the download is an .exe file (W2K_NVALL_41124.exe), which in reality is a zipped file, the exe just runs to unzip first then automatically launches the application to install the driver. So here is the first Trick : If you have Winzip or Winrar, you should be able to RIGHT click this exe file (W2K_NVALL_41124.exe) and unzip it somewhere you can locate it later on.
- Once unzipped you will end up with a set of files and a folder called "WinXP_2K", inside this folder are all drivers U need.
- Now go to Device Manager (start/CtrPanel/Hardware&Sound/Device Manager)
- Look on the top of the list (3rd of 4th) for "Display Adapters) and click on the +
- You should see the Windows default driver installed, right click on it and press the first option "Update Driver Software"
- A window pops Up , select the "Browse My Computer for Driver Software" Option
- Select "Browse" and locate the folder with the drivers we unziped in step 3 "WinXP_2K".
- Follow the prompts and ignore if Windows tells you this is not an Certified blablabla.
- Your Winfast Driver should kick in , and that's it.
- Worked perfect 4 me. hope it does 4 U
