Due to the fact that notebook manufacturers modify their INF files, you can't just grab the latest drivers from ATI directly. You'll need to use modified drivers.

You can use this: ATI MobilityModder - HardwareHeaven.com
Or you can try: Welcome to OmegaDrivers.net | Official Home of the ATI and NVIDIA Omega Drivers, PC Gaming Drivers and News!

I gave you 2 options for installing modified drivers. Again, you'll have to be more specific. Which process did you use? Which route did you take of the above 2 options?

I suggest going to the DELL dowload site for the Vostro 1088 and download the latest ATi Video driver for your laptop, there's no reason to go to ATi directly as they tell you on the site if the driver you want is from X the drivers are modified to work best from those OEM's. Your correct driver is listed with a 4/22/2010 date in the video download section of the Vostro 1088.
