Integrated onboard graphics

I have a Asus M4A785G HTPC Motherboard, am told on AOE3 forum, that AOE3 in incompatable with the way intergrated graphics works, yet intergrated onboard graphics works fine for others with onboard graphics card - can anyone help...thanks
PS: AOE3 works fine on my old XPHome machine

If AOE3 (??) says your chipset is incompatible, chances are it is. Did they give you an explanation as to why?

No, the specific chipset wasn't refered to, only that the way intergrated graphics works was incompatable with AOE3, thanks

Sounds like someone on that AOE3 forum doesn't know how to read the system requirements for that game,

Age of Empires® III

Quote:
System Requirements
  • Microsoft® Windows® XP
  • PC with 1.4 GHz equivalent or higher processor
  • 256 MB of system RAM
  • 2 GB available hard disk space
  • 32x speed or faster CD-ROM drive
  • 64 MB video card with support for hardware transformation and lighting required
  • Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio
  • Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
  • 56.6 Kbps or better modem for online play
The onboard Radeon HD 4200 on your motherboard is more than enough for that game. While still not as good as a video card it that game should be more than playable on it. This review should give you an idea as to how it does,
