Asus-Ati Radeon AH 4650 Driver Error

Hello everybody , and thanks for the help.

I recently upgraded my graphics to an Asus-Ati AH 4650, and i encountered problems immediately once I installed the card.
Every couple of minutes the system goes unresponsive, the screen start flicking and then goes black for a few seconds (5 to 10) , then everything seems fine again but this error message appears in the system tray:
Display driver AMD driver stopped responding and has successfully recover.

I tried reinstalling the graphic card drivers, uninstalling and clearing the drivers from the system and reinstalling them again. It works fine for 30 to 40 mnts and then the screen goes black again.

I really appreciated any help that i can get.
    Thanks again.

    Erick

Take a look at Catalyst AGP Hotfix - Radeon HD 4000 Radeon HD 3000 and Radeon HD 2000 Series AGP products

There seems to be recurring problems with AGP cards which this hotfix is supposed to fix.

    This post might also help.

Please create a system restore point first (and always have backups of your important files) in case something goes (more) wrong and you have to revert to the present (problematic but working) condition

Let us know how it goes

Ok i try the Hotfix and nothing, it was doing the same and the pc was much slower.
I also try the solution from the post , but is for Win 32 and i'm using Win 64.

I really appreciated any other suggestion.
    Thanks

Sorry Munnepower. Follow the link: that is the latest driver for the 4650, albeit in beta. Select your card/OS/etc. from the Wizard.

Isn't your card overheating? Is the fan clean?

The issue is (most likely) with the nForce3 chipset on an AGP Radeon card under Windows 7.
