XPS one a2420 Display turns off every second?

so i have this strange trouble with my machine. when I power on my Dell XPS one a2420 it boots and all functions work except the display from the very second it is turned on turns itself off every one second. Now i can turn it on and see the system booting up, a second later it turns itself off. All the while the system is running in the background. I turn the monitor on click on the login screen quickly and continue in this manner until i login and i can fully enter windows. Now for those of you that are unfamiliar with this machine it is an all-in-one unit with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Im stumped! if anyone has a thought on this it would be very appreciated. Im thinking its a graphics card issue but cannot be certain.

    maybe it's a monitor issue o.O
go to a computer shop near your house... and let them fix it...

    Solution: New Motherboard
Dell decided it would be easier to replace the board itself then try and troubleshoot the issue. no logs or diagnostics found any trouble besides the obvious condition the was occurring. parts come in tomorrow and I'll post the prognosis then.

    Luckone,
I am troubleshooting an XPS One that is having the same issue, minus the screen coming on AT ALL! The screen is completely blank. The computer boots fine all the way to the Vista desktop. (Automatically logs on) And I can tell that because of the logon sound chime it makes. Also if I push the power button it sounds off again takes about 10-15 seconds as it goes thru its shutdown process and then shuts off. So the motherboard is fine, I have already replaced the video card. I am guessing it is the display that needs to be totally replaced since it appears it has no prower what so ever.

Did the motherboard replacement that Dell sent for yours fix your issue? Curious as to the result of your last post.
