1280x800 res not avail on W7

I have installed W7 (in a virtual environment) on a laptop with a native resolution of 1280x800. However, W7 does not provide me with this option in the resolution settings. I checked the advanced settings too and this options isn't available. Any idea how I might be able to fix this. Right now I'm running at 1024x768 but would really like to run in the wide screen mode.
Thanks.

Your issue might be a limitation of your VM software. I am running Win7RC on a Toshiba Satellite at the native res of 1280x800 with no issues. Well, none except for trying to play WoW with an Intel 945 gfx chipset....ugh.
