    WDDM Drivers !

    Hello there.

Here i am with another question Probably y'all gettin' tired of them, but giving the circumstances and the way that people really help on this forum encourages me to post AGAIN ( Even though i searched first for answers, but didn't get to a real conclusion )

So,the question goes like this: Win7 installs automatically the WDDM drivers for the graphics card, but i don't wish to use them.I want to install the new drivers from Nvidia, but every time i uninstall the drivers and reboot, they keep coming back.
So is it safe to just uninstall it from device manager WITHOUT a reboot, but run CCleaner to remove leftovers, and then install the new NV drivers ?
Cause i read that some people installed the new NV drivers over the old WDDM drivers, but that doesn't sounds good in my opinion.

    Hi.

Go to devices and printers, and right click on the PC icon, then click on Device installation settings, and that will give you the option to configure how the system updates.

Hi guys, i'm having the same problem with automatic WDDM 1.1 driver install. I want to install my Ati drivers for 4570 mobility card on my laptop.
I've set Device Installation settings to "Never install driver software from Microsoft Update". So i guess WDDM 1.1 graphic drivers are in local driver repository but i can't find them to delete...

If anyone could help me please

Just install the latest driver that you want to install over the top of the default Windows one, the ATI installer will uninstall the old before installing the new for you.

In a lot of cases the reference ATI drivers won't install on a lot of the laptop cards, as there is no support for them in the driver package. You either have to get them from the laptop manufacturer (which usually means not the latest) or use something like this,

Mobility Modder - ATI Version, Install the Latest Drivers on your ATI laptop

to modify the necessary INF's so they will work. Unfortunately I have no idea how well (or if it does) it works with the most recent Catalyst suites.
