| Windows 7: Catalyst Drivers AA and AF Profiles? |

Catalyst Drivers AA and AF Profiles? I had an nvidia card before (8800 gts) and their drivers would allow me to run a certain .exe file with different video settings (AA and AF).
I play cs and battlefield bad company 2 and want cs to have 4x AA and 4x AF. But, I want BFBC2 to run at "application setting".
Anyone know how to do this in the ATI drivers? I haven't owned an ATI since the pre-AMD years. | My System Specs |

Correct. While not necessarily as convenient as Nvidia profiles, they can be set up and do work. Have a read here about profiles, TweakGuides.com - ATI Catalyst Tweak Guide

Can someone please just help me set this up? The directions and descriptions in both links are very vague and don't really explain much. I'm using the Catalyst Control Center v2010.0210.1730.31317
I just want Half Life 1 games to run with custom AA and AF settings, all other games use the global settings.
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. Very poorly done, NVidia drivers make it so much easier. Oh well, I guess I'll get used to manually setting my 'profile' each time I change games (unless someone can tell me how to have it auto change profiles based on what games I play). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me OS Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit CPU Intel Core2Quad Q9300 Yorkfield 2.5GHz (Running @ 3.23GHz) Motherboard ASUS P5Q Memory 4GB (2GB x 2) G.Skill DDR2-1066 Graphics Card ASUS EAH5850 Direct CU 1GB DDR5 Sound Card ASUS Xonar DX Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VH236H Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 (native) Keyboard Saitek Cyborg Mouse Logitech G500 PSU Ultra 800W Modular design Case Thermaltake Tsunami Dream Cooling Cooler Master GeminII S heatsink + 150mm fan Hard Drives All Western Digital Caviar Drives (_BEST_ HDD brand):

If it is only the one game easiest way to set it up is,
1. Open CCC and go to the 3D options.
2. Make the settings the way you want them for HL1
3. Click on Options near the top right and from the dropdown select Profiles/Profile Manager.
4. Give it a name, click on Activation and decide how you activate the profile (using a shortcut, hotkey, or systray icon). *
5. Repeat with all settings at default.
* Seeing as you are only looking at 2 profiles it would probably be easier to use the hotkey method of activating the profile, just need to remember to use it before starting the game. If you use the systray icon you could also do it that way. If you go the shortcut route you need to remember which shortcut is for the profile and which is the one with the profile (haven't used this method in quite a while, but I think the shortcut icon gets changed but not sure). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me OS Win 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Phenom II x4 955 @ 4 GHz. This is what I'm doing. Any way to do this automatically, or do I need to activate whenever I switch games. For Bad Company 2, you don't actually have to do anything in CCC.. literally, not a thing. All you do is open BC2 and set your AA and AF. | My System Specs | | OS 7 Ultimate x64 CPU i5-2500k Motherboard Asus P8P67 Pro Memory 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH 1866MHz 8-9-8-24 Graphics Card EVGA GTX 570 SC Sound Card X-Fi Titanium Fatality Monitor(s) Displays Samsung S27A550H 27" LED Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard MS Natural Elite 4000 Ergonomic Mouse Logitech G500 PSU PC Power & Cooling Silencer 760 Case Lian Li Lancool K62 Cooling Thermalright Venomous X Black/Scythe S-Flex/Shin-Etsu X23 Hard Drives OCZ Vertex 3 120GB.

The only thing is for half life based mods there is no application setting for AA and AF (i play multiple) and i also play hl2 based games.
anyone know of an automatic solution? if not, i will just continue using the manual profile switching. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me OS Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit CPU Intel Core2Quad Q9300 Yorkfield 2.5GHz (Running @ 3.23GHz) Motherboard ASUS P5Q Memory 4GB (2GB x 2) G.Skill DDR2-1066 Graphics Card ASUS EAH5850 Direct CU 1GB DDR5 Sound Card ASUS Xonar DX Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VH236H Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 (native) Keyboard Saitek Cyborg Mouse Logitech G500 PSU Ultra 800W Modular design Case Thermaltake Tsunami Dream Cooling Cooler Master GeminII S heatsink + 150mm fan Hard Drives All Western Digital Caviar Drives (_BEST_ HDD brand):

HL AA and AF settings are in the ingame advanced graphics menu. The settings you apply for HL also apply to HL mods. | My System Specs | | OS 7 Ultimate x64 CPU i5-2500k Motherboard Asus P8P67 Pro Memory 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH 1866MHz 8-9-8-24 Graphics Card EVGA GTX 570 SC Sound Card X-Fi Titanium Fatality Monitor(s) Displays Samsung S27A550H 27" LED Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard MS Natural Elite 4000 Ergonomic Mouse Logitech G500 PSU PC Power & Cooling Silencer 760 Case Lian Li Lancool K62 Cooling Thermalright Venomous X Black/Scythe S-Flex/Shin-Etsu X23 Hard Drives OCZ Vertex 3 120GB.

So, I guess there is no automatic solution. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me OS Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit CPU Intel Core2Quad Q9300 Yorkfield 2.5GHz (Running @ 3.23GHz) Motherboard ASUS P5Q Memory 4GB (2GB x 2) G.Skill DDR2-1066 Graphics Card ASUS EAH5850 Direct CU 1GB DDR5 Sound Card ASUS Xonar DX Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VH236H Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 (native) Keyboard Saitek Cyborg Mouse Logitech G500 PSU Ultra 800W Modular design Case Thermaltake Tsunami Dream Cooling Cooler Master GeminII S heatsink + 150mm fan Hard Drives All Western Digital Caviar Drives (_BEST_ HDD brand):
