    Most price-worthy

    Hello!

    I have six graphic cards here, and I'm not sure which one to get as I am not very familiar with them. I'm hoping you guys can help out with one that's the most price-worthy and most useful out of these;

    Radeon HD 5570
    Radeon HD 5670
    Radeon HD 5550

    Geforce 9500GP
    Geforce GT240
    Gefoce GT220

    Thank you in advance.

You didn't list the prices, but performance-wise the 5670 is the best of the bunch. Next would be the GT 240.

Would also help to know what the main use will be.

    Ah yeah.

    5570 is $90
    5670 is $100
    5550 is $70

    Geforce 9500GT is $70
    Geforce GT240 is $100
    Geforce GT220 is $80

Main use isn't any special actually. The games I play doesn't require too much, it's mainly just to have the possibility to do better.

Does 5670 work well with W7? I currently have 3850 and it appears to have troubles with W7.

Yeah probably the 5670 it offers great performance for a VERY reasonable price. I have heard driver issues with some ATI cards but they were for the more advanced 5770 etc. I'm sure you will be fine. I have a 4670 and love it but it does get quite noisy but only when pushed with photo editing video work it's fine. One more thing make sure you have a 450 W or higher for a 5670, it will work with a 400 W one but it's better to be safe than sorry.

I would think you'd be happy finding a 5750 which will work and requires 1 6 pin connection from your PSU. Great choice for photography work in PhotoShop, Lightroom 2 and graphical intensive programs if that is our goal.

I don't know why the the xx50 series of ATi cards always end up the best values from what I read of folks doing with them in comparison with the xx70 and higher series cards.

From the sounds of this I'll go for the 5670, thanks!
I actually thought Geforce would be the most popular choice.

Howdy, here are two others to consider, Memory interface is 256-bit, not 128-bit or worse that is on most budget cards, and a major factor in performance.

    4850
    Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GV-R485ZL-512H Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

    9800GT
    Newegg.com - ZOTAC ZT-98GES3M-FSL GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Drivers for Windows 7 should be mature enough for either card, I was thinking about it further, the main ? back to the buyer is, what power supply do you have and what style case?

The 256r's tend to run hotter, but both those cards are had for under $100, and run most new games quite well, still.
