Well your card is an nVidia geforce fx go5200 which was originally made around 2003/2004 and is listed on the nVidia site as a Legacy driver and neither nVidia, nor Toshiba, have updated the driver past XP and in both Vista nd Windows 7 the best you can get is Standard VGA or as you know your card is not identifie. Your only option is associated with much risk I'm afraid and it involves modifying the .inf file for your video card. Vista / Windows 7 Ultimate with nVidia Go5200 - there is hope! - Paul Clement - Notes from the Field | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELL XPS Studio 435T OS Vista 64 Ultimate, Windows 7 64 Ultimate, Ubuntu 9.10 CPU i7 975 3.3 GHz Extreme (Factory OC'd to 3.6 GHz) Motherboard DELL provided Memory 18 Gb Tri-Channel 1066 Graphics Card ATI 5970 2048 Mb Sound Card X-Fi Extreme Gamer Monitor(s) Displays Vizio 37" HD-TV Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Performance K350 Wireless Mouse Logitech Performance MX Wireless PSU DELL Provided 475 watts Case DELL Cooling 3 fans Hard Drives 1.5 Tb HDD

If you have XP you should load it and use it until you can but before you buy anything used ask if they let you run the Microsoft Upgrade Advisor Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Download - Microsoft Windows it gives a very good view of what will run, what won't run, on Windows 7 and includes a summary of hardware/software and if you need to do anything to make them compatible. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELL XPS Studio 435T OS Vista 64 Ultimate, Windows 7 64 Ultimate, Ubuntu 9.10 CPU i7 975 3.3 GHz Extreme (Factory OC'd to 3.6 GHz) Motherboard DELL provided Memory 18 Gb Tri-Channel 1066 Graphics Card ATI 5970 2048 Mb Sound Card X-Fi Extreme Gamer Monitor(s) Displays Vizio 37" HD-TV Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Performance K350 Wireless Mouse Logitech Performance MX Wireless PSU DELL Provided 475 watts Case DELL Cooling 3 fans Hard Drives 1.5 Tb HDD

512 megs of RAM is not enough for Windows 7.
The OP needs a new computer, IMO.
I recommend at least 2 gigs for 7. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit) + Service Pack 1 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Motherboard MSI 890FXA-GD70 Memory 8G CAS7 G-Skill PC3-10664 (2 fours) [mobo nonOC max rec'd] Graphics Card Radeon HD 7950 [3 gigs of GDDR5] MSI Twin Frozr model Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio (onboard mobo, CL-889) Monitor(s) Displays 2 WS LED Monitors: Viewsonic (portait) and LG (landscape) Screen Resolution 1920 by 1080 Keyboard Logitech K310 Washable keyboard Mouse iHome Fast (600/1200 dpi) mouse PSU Corsair TX850 Case Thermaltake Armor A90 Cooling Thermaltake Spin Q CPU Cooler Hard Drives SSD for OS: Adata SX900
