Problem with graphic

Hi,
I dont know if it this right topic, but its about my graphic card. I have problem, every time, when restart Windows 7 or shut off, my grapihic driver stop working right. Some games have black screen, they have problem with texture in game or lags of game. Some programs like PhotoShop etc. have lags too. Only help is reinstall graphic driver, but after restart or shut off PC I must do it again.
Can anyone help me? With this card in WinXP I didnt have problem, only in Windows 7.

Hello defcon9. Welcome to the Forum

Are you getting any error messages?
What driver version did you install for the GTX260?

Also, go into your Event Viewer (Start > All Programs > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer) and under Summary of Administrative Events, look at what you have for Critical events (click the + sign to expand). Let us know what you find.

Core Duo CPU's with nVidia GPU's have had some latency issues although not all nVidia's drivers are created equal in this equation. My M17x came with 2 280M GTX cards in SLi and my latency, while bad, was not as severe as others experienced. One of the causes was the mobo chipset provided by nVidia which we were able to workaround using Intel drivers and with a beta version of nVidia's GPU drivers provided by Alienware the latency cleaned up rather well but I had twin ATi 4870's in CrossFireX enroute by that time. You can check your PC's latency by downloading DPC Latency Test DPC Latency Checker

All my PC's and laptops sport ATi GPU's of late.

From your description of the error message you are most likely dealing with a TDR event error. Please read this thread:

http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-c...ti-hd5870.html

In that thread you will find my post about TDR errors with a checklist of diagnostics you would need to try to see if you can determine the cause of the errors. Post back the results of anything you try and we can try and track down the problem.

Run that program the Fishnbanjo posted too. Any information we can get will help.
Don't forget the Event viewer information too!

When you run the DPC Latency it will keep track of what happens while you are running programs, just running it and getting green and yellow indication isn't real information, if you are getting red spikes running software that is an indication of latency, or to put in in lay terms, lagging or slowing down of what you are trying to run, games see this in a huge drop of FPS.
