AsusSetup launches ATI Catalyst Control Center

I've been getting numerous BSODs, and freezes, so
I loaded the latest ATI Radeon 4350 drivers; no help.

I downloaded the latest Asus chipset drivers.
When I click on AsusSetup, ATI Catalyst Control Center starts instead of the Asus installer.

How do I disassociate the ATI CCC from the setup.exe?

I don't see an association in Program Defaults, or file types.
I even uninstalled the whole ATI Control Center and drivers.
    Now what?
    thanks,
    mike

    mruffner, welcome to the forums.

You can safely uninstall anything and everything you installed from Asus (except for the Via audio driver and Realtek ethernet driver) as none of them are required. With the chipset on your motherboard (785G) when you install the full Catalyst suite for your video card it will also install/update the chipset drivers. To give you an idea,

That is from the catalyst 10.5 I believe, but all full Catalyst suites have the same in them.
