What does available graphics memory mean?

I have an integrated Nvidia Gforce 7150m card on my HP laptop. Its pretty old, but has 128mb dedicated and "1072mb available". So i get that it means it can take from my RAM and put it toward the GPU (correct me if thats wrong) but how can I enable this (if it can be enabled)? I would like to know if my 3yr old laptop can actually play games like CoD smoothly with decent settings .

This is a old chip, I doubt you will be able to play the latest COD at all, but if you meant the first COD it will run. To adjust memory settings for onboard GPU you have to enter the bios and make appropriate choices there.

I have almost the same laptop as yours, HPdv9608nr with the 7150m graphics.
As it supports up to 128MB video memory you would hardly be able to play any new games(including COD).
