ATI HD 5770 1 Gig - Game freezing

I am playing BFBC2 MP and find that when the game loads and I do my first spawn the game will freeze for a few seconds then come right. Any spawn after that is 100%. I upgraded from a NVIDIA Gforce 8800 GTS 512 and this never happened before on that card. Ok I was only running medium setting on that and am now running high settings on the new card. I have checked to make sure I have the latest drivers for Win 32 bit

The spawn lag bug is a known and common issue. To fix it open your anti virus app and set to exclude the BFBC2 folder in Documents and the Battlefield Bad Company 2 folder in Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts.

New patch, new problems. I didn't have to do it either before this patch, but now, if I don't, I get horrendous freezing every minute or so. Not a clue why... and I'm using the same card, and the same everything else.

#1 The horse has been Led means you got the answer

#2 More knowingly they told you the reason why

#3 most important you probally didnt have to update it because of the card specifacations and the set up you had When you buy a new Vid card it isnt a sure fire worker you need to tune it to work with your system better

in other words don't expect the same performance of the newer card to be better untill you update all drivers and tune it to work prperly with your system I have the same card and suffered many blue screens on left4dead till i tuned the card and updated it to work with it

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

How to fix your issue has been explained, but I can't force you to actually do it.

The spawn lag bug is a known issue that's been around for at least the last 2 patches. The latest patch brought new issues of lag, freezing, and ping times not displaying. They both are functions of your anti virus.

You may not have updated your game since your new video card, but I assure you that you have updated your anti virus, or it has updated itself on its own.

its not the spawning lag bug , that was after a respawn not first joining a server , thats why its called a "spawning" bug , he has NO issues after his first join spawn , it was because certain AV apps would scan a certain folder everytime it was accessed and written to by BC2 which was every spawn , causing lag on every spawn after a cpu spike

Maybe a little help instead of sarcasm would be a better option here?

I had the same issue on a few games mate when i had my ATI card mostly BC2 and MW2 , a sudden and huge drop in fps on joining any map for the first time , i put it down to a driver issue and gave up trying to find the fault , i have no such issues with my current setup
