    New Graphic Card = H.E.L.P.?

    Hello!
I would like to buy a new graphic card because..
(my pc is 1 month old now)
I have a Intel (R) Graphics Media accelerator HD and when I play games like GTA IV or flatout ultimate carnage, It lags.
    Even on low(est) quality.
I'm not sure that the problem my graphic card is, but I think so because my pc is powerful.
    Here are my specs :
    HP Pavilion P 6550 BE
    Windows 7 Home Premium (64bits)
    4GB RAM
    Processor : Intel (R) core I3 with 3,07 GHZ, 2 core's , 4 logical processors
    HD : 1TB Hard drive
Here is my question : What graphic card should I buy for this pc?
I don't know mutch about graphic cards because I've never buyed one.

Can anyone also give me a guide wich teaches me how to install that graphic card?

    Sorry for my bad English,

    Thanks!

    J-P

Have a lonk to your computer? A Google search with the model number as you posted it doesn't return anything that matches the specs you listed.

Go to HP's site, find your computer and post the link to it here.

well thats a onboard gpu and there definitely not for gaming

    im surprised gta4 didnt crash

you should buy a 5770 still best new price/ performance card on the market or of course a more expensive one if you can.
Im almost sure youll have to buy a new psu , because pre-built systems usually dont provide pc-i connecter from psu,
if the factory built pc doesn't have graphics card

@jpinghels you are using a intel board although any graphics acard would do i would suggest going to nvidia for like a gtx 260 or 280 intel i think performs with nvida

ati radeon on the other hand i only match ati with ati or amd what ever if your gonna match go with nvidia it probally would suit your intel chip better

but like i said before graphic card shouldnt matter what you buy if it fits in the slot but for me i would match product to product to insure peak performance

i own a diamond hd 5770 but my rig is all ati if it was a intel rig ii would be running nvida

I agree with Gilly, a 5770 would be a good choice for a good gaming card.
It's not going to be top of the line, but it will run GTA IV.

i hear many people say this but with no evidence to back it up
i think its more fan boys of intel stick with the green team and amd stays with the red team
but ati will perform just as good on intel board as it would on a amd board

@Gilly i know but old habbits die hard lol like i said before doesn't matter everything is compatible if you know how to makeit work for you

but i was called a hardware junkie the other day so i guess it proves right lol better a hardware junkiie then a drug junkie i say and for the hd5770 you cant go wrong solid card and performs beautifully under stress and stays very cool

you look at my vid card specs pretty much you can see what i mean but just to let you know i have alot of cooling so that maybe why it stays so cool
