Windows 7: Sony Vaio VGN-FW200 Intel GMA Problem

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
CPU: Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T5800 @ 2.00 GHz
RAM: 4.0 GB DDR2
Graphics: Mobile Intel 45 Express Chipset Family

I recently upgraded my Sony laptop to Windows 7. After updating I decided to reupdate all of my drivers. During this process I tried to upgrade my Intel graphics using Windows Update. During the update I recieved a BSOD (Black Screen of Death). I turned off my laptop, booted into safe mode, and immediatly rolled back the graphics driver. I then looked all over the web for solutions to this problem. I tried using Intel's website and Driver update tools and recieved the exact same result. I tried visiting Sony support only to find that they had no updated drivers for the GMA. I have no idea what else that I can do. Is there any solutions to my problem? Or will I have to deal with an outdated driver and no GMA?

Sounds like the update is not compatible with your system.

Yes I realize that. But there are no sony updates either.
