what kind of heatsink
Does anybody know what kind of heatsink is it?
Really bad pic... I can't even tell if it's a CPU or GPU cooler from that shot
Any chance of a few different angles?
It looks like one that uses heat-pipe technology. As Patrick has said, these can be found on graphics cards (in fact, my card has one) and on motherboards as the CPU cooler.
We really do need some more pictures from different angles and possibly not so close-up.
I notice that you have a similar graphics card to mine, both 8800GT, could it be the heatsink on that?
it looks very much like the old thermalright 120 , what cpu is on?
It's too thin to be a 120... and you can tell from its positioning that it's a VGA heatsink. Which one, who knows?
It looks almost like that one, but not quite when compared with Dorian's photo. I think that it's more like this one, again from the Thermalright family:
Thermalright HR-03 GTX Rev. A VGA Cooler - Koolertek
It's on a 8800 gts...great catch guys, Thermalright HR-03 looks really exactly the same! The said pc was assembled by a mechanic, and he didn't tell my acquaintance what heatsink he had installed!! BTW, how good is this model?
