Hardware failure stopping windows 7 loading

    Hey everyone.

So I hibernated my pc last night, tried to turn it on this morning and a big fat no. It starts loading windows 7 with its funky loading screen, then I hear my hard drive stop spinning, and my computer will restart. It's tried to fix it twice but no luck. It suggests "remove any plugged in device, music player device disconnect it now and restart windows." But I have only my mouse and keyboard plugged in.

I have my pc set up with dual boot xp, and that'll load up fine running on a partion but off the same hard drive.

I've tried Safe Mode, and Last Known Good Configuration, but both fail.

    Any suggestions?

    Run repair Option

Insert your windows 7 installation disk and reboot with cd/dvd as boot priority 1 and run repair option.

So I've run the repair facilities, they report all tests passed apart from one:
    Code:
    Root cause found:
    ------------------
A recent driver installation or upgrade may be preventing the system from
    starting.

Repair action: System files integrity check and repair.
    Results: Failed. Error code: 0xa1
    Time taken: 10935ms
So now the question is: how can I find out what's been installed? I don't recall installing anything.

Like I said, I'm running my Windows XP partition now, which is on the same hard drive as my Windows 7 install. So I'm going to assume that means my hard drive isn't broken.
