Printer won't print

I have a new Toshiba (intel pentium) laptop with Windows 7 on it. It runs on wireless internet. I can't get either of my two printers (Canon ip1700 and Canon MX300) to print when I try to print from my Toshiba.
My desktop computer is older and has Windows XP, and I can print from both printers using my desktop computer.
What do you think could be the problems with why I can't print with my laptop? Thanks for your help.

You need to go to Canon.com and download drivers for win 7 (either 32 or 64 bit) depending what you are running.
Then go and edit your system specs under User CP at the top in case we need to follow up or you have another problem.
