If the new module is rated to run at a higher voltage than the current module - then that's an issue.

well i've removed my old one and installed my new 2GB kit, however a blue screen keeps coming up about memory after a minute of startup. It says something about memory. What could be the problem?

Make sure you have the correct voltages. You'll need to check the memory than make sure the BIOS is set to that voltage, or close to it.

Good luck.

The voltages are the same, as on CPU-Z it shows 1.8V & my old RAM was also that. I'm just going to return it
